FAQs

+ How much wine will I need?

The best way to figure out how much wine to by is to divide the number of guests by 2 .15. For example, for a wedding with 50 guests you'd need 24 bottles, a wedding of 100 would need 47 bottles, and a wedding for 200 people would need 94 bottles

+ Why types of wines should I get?

For indoor weddings and weddings during Fall, Winter, and Spring you'll want a mix of about 50% red, 25% white, and 25% sparkling

For Summer weddings and especially outdoor Summer weddings, guests will be looking for more refreshing options. You'll want to go with an equal amount of red, white, and sparkling wines. If you're wanting to serve rosé wines follow the same rules as above and keep everything equal

+ What are the laws for providing my own wine for a wedding?

If the event is going to be held on private property (a parents house, an uncles farm, etc.) there are NO licensing needs. If the event is being held at a public facility (rented hall, hotel, etc.) a Special Events Permit (SEP) might need to be acquired from the Provincial Government. For full SEP requirements and to apply, click here

+ Can I customize the wine/label?

Yes! Here at Hobby Brews you'll have the ability to create your own custom wine with different bases and add-ins. You can also customize the labels to commemorate your big day
